LOT HISTORY
The Sidamo region, located in southern Ethiopia, six hours from the Kenyan border, stands out as the country's main coffee-producing area. The exceptional quality of its coffee has gained recognition in international markets, and its exports contribute significantly to Ethiopia's foreign exchange earnings, representing 60% of the total. Sidamo, named after an ethnic group from southeastern Ethiopia, cultivates its coffee beans under the shade of forest trees and meticulously selects them by hand.
Heleanna Georgalis has been a leader in this industry since 2008, committed to quality standards and actively participating in the "third wave of coffee." Following in her father's footsteps, Georgalis demonstrates a passion for the world of coffee, experimenting with processes and enjoying the results. She highlights the richness of the thousands of coffee varieties yet to be discovered in Ethiopia and emphasizes the importance of preserving the integrity of known varieties.
